Heat Shrink Wrapping VCI” is a protective packaging method used to shield metal products from rust and corrosion during storage and transportation. It’s a combination of heat shrink wrap and Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) technology for a protective environment around the metal surface.
- The product is covered in a thermoplastic film, usually polyethylene.
- The film shrinks onto the item by applying heat (ie, with a heat gun).
